The design system at Canopy was a side project. We didn’t have one, but we needed one, so I built one. It followed the atomic design methodology of atoms, molecules, organisms, templates, and pages, but we also had contents, brand, imagery, and documentation sections, as well as Apple, Google, and Microsoft components. This design system evolved throughout the project, and whenever screens were marked as ready to build, the engineers could reference all of the component parts in the design system.

Part of this project included looking in to a desktop only sign up process for parents only, and developing a mobile first sign up process that a child could start, and then request their parent or legal guardian to complete. Part of this project included looking in to a desktop only sign up process for parents only, and developing a mobile first sign up process that a child could start, and then request their parent or legal guardian to complete. I also led the website re-design based on an updated brand guideline.

Marakon partnered with Elsewhen to create a white label product that could be re-skinned for any of the mayor US pension providers, and brought to market quickly. I was the Lead Product Designer on this project.

Working as the product design lead in a small cross disciplined team of people put together by the agency Elsewhen, we were integrated in to a larger team at Bupa to work on a new exploration project after the acquisition of a major private dental provider. Working in one week sprints, we followed a hypothesis driven approach, prioritising first where we believed we could make the biggest gains for the least amount of effort.

Travel Supermarket launched a new website without testing it first. Traffic was down 59%, revenue was down 25%, and gross profit was down 37%. With a user research document in my hands and a site audit from an external UX agency, my job was to tackle some of the sites biggest problems and find a number of design solutions to increase user engagement, revenue and profit.

I was tasked with reviewing all of the existing design and UX across all devices, then putting forward a new fully responsive proposal, incorporating a new brand guideline.

As well as the main pages, we also did a lot of work around the checkout section of the website, making sure that we had done everything we could to minimise any potential user dropout. This project ran alongside the Hamley's website, who were using the same set of wireframes.

My first role out of university was at a new digital marketing agency, on a mission to give bands and musicians a space on the internet for the first time. I was hired as their first designer to create websites for artists like Blur, Paul Weller, Radiohead, and Coldplay. As well as designing the odd piece of album artwork, I also won four digital music awards in one year.
